I purchased my book back in November 2022. After reading it in one day I could connect to the Author. Not knowing all my life I had a lot of healing  that I needed to unpack. So thankful to God for allowing me to stumble upon her platform and, "Wow" life changing. It has been a year on my journey looking  forward to Volume 2. Best read in a long time.

Let me start by stating that this book is one that I would consider to be one that will go down in history! I discovered this book by just sitting on TIKTOK and a feed came across my timeline and there was this beautiful lady speaking about trauma bonds and how abandonment is not your fault. I thought to myself, WOW, she hit so many amazing points in a short snippet, I had to follow her on her page and then most definitely purchase the book. So, let's get into my thoughts of how I feel about this wonderful information, but how I applied this to my life. "Abandonment Is Not Your Fault," is a short straight to the point book full of details that I am sure many of us have experienced growing up or in relationships. We took the blame for the relationship not working out, not realizing it wasn't our fault at all. As I began to read further, I could see so many similarities that I experienced growing up which caused me to fall into situations that I really wasn't responsible for. The chapter that stood out the most for me was 9 and 10. Chapter 9, Facing Reality, starts off by assuring you that if people walk out of your life it's not your fault and you don't have to feel guilty about moving forward in life and be okay with living your life to the fullest without regret. So many of us question ourselves as to why people may leave our lives. What did we did wrong? Could we have done more? The truth is "NO," you couldn't have done anything to make a person stay that has already left, so releasing attachments is important for you to level up and love you more. Chapter 10, Shifting my Focus, this chapter sweet straight to the point allows you to understand that your focus has to shift to yourself and it's not selfish it self love, it's setting boundaries, it's leading you to the healing that you require to live that life that God gave to you. It doesn't matter whether the trauma started with your mother, father, siblings, or significant other, it's shifting from focusing on others and seeing "YOU" for who you truly are after living in the mask of everyone else.

I have to say that the book helps you to reset and form purpose. Everyone will get something different from the read, I say read it and apply it!
